Delicious Burger Recipes
Hellooooo everyone! Just in time for the summer, we have compiled some of our favorite burger recipes from the web. So, say goodbye to your bland, dry, just ketchup and mustard on boring-ass bun burgers and enjoy the fantastic taste of heaven.
Attention!!
Some of these burgers have a lot of calories; I mean A LOT of calories. That doesn’t mean you can enjoy these “banging” recipes. All you have to do is substitute some of their ingredients with their lower calorie equivalents. For example, we replaced the ground beef/ ground chuck used in some of these recipes with 93/7 ground beef. Also, we swapped condiments like mayo with light mayo, as well as reduced-fat cheese. If you do this, not only will you be able to enjoy these delicious foods, but stick to your calorie goals.
Old-School Beef Burgers with Extra-Special Sauce
The SAUCEEEEEE!!!!!! As you could imagine, we loved the sauce in this recipe. Horseradish (out of all things) and a few more ingredients, including butter pickles, make this sauce the real deal!!
Also, go with 93/7 ground beef, fat-reduced cheese, and light mayo to save yourself a few hundred calories.
Macros: 1,013 calories, 65 grams of fat, 54 grams of carbs, 1 gram of fiber, and 52 grams of protein per burger.
BEST TURKEY BURGERS
Try to stray away from 99/1 lean ground turkey. Although the 99/1 will save you some calories, it’s very dry. We went with 93/7 turkey, and it tasted great!
Macros: 289 calories, 7 grams of fat, 24 grams of carbs, 5 grams of fiber, and 31 grams of protein.
Peanut Butter and Jelly Burger
I bet your ass wasn’t expecting this!! Just so you know, this burger has a lot of calories, especially from fat. Therefore we recommend you swap a few ingredients to save you a few calories. We swapped American cheese for Velveeta slices (35 cals per slice), Godshall’s turkey bacon, and 93/7 ground beef instead of 80/20.
Macros: 717 calories, 42 grams of fat, 39 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fiber, and 43 grams of protein.
Teriyaki Burgers with Grilled Pineapple
We told you pineapple makes EVERYTHING better, and that includes burgers. Even the teriyaki sauce is made out of pineapple juice!
This burger is made out of ground turkey and calls for whole wheat buns. So go ahead and eat 2 of these, we won’t judge you.
Macros: 254 calories, 7 grams of fat, 25 grams of carbs, 2 grams of fiber, and 23 grams of protein.
Fried Mozzarella and Caramelized Peach Caprese Burger
Get ready to have your mind blown! In a million years, we wouldn’t have thought to put some peaches on a burger. Fried mozzarella? Nope. But sweet baby Jesus, this was so damn good.
An accurate portrait of Meli and me after eating this burger:
Macros: 881 calories, 49 grams of fat, 60 grams of carbs, 3 grams of fiber, and 57 grams of protein per burger.
Monster Vegan Burger
This vegan burger has sweet potato and beet chips!!!! That’s what sold us into trying this recipe. We aren’t vegans, and we aren’t planning on becoming vegans, but we are putting this recipe into our regular rotation.
Macros: 677 calories, 18 grams of fat, 108 grams of carbs, 28 grams of fiber, 30 grams of protein per burger.
Paleo Bacon Garlic Avocado Burger
A paleo burger recipe? But, Delwin, isn’t bread a forbidden food on the paleo diet? Yes, yes, it is. Lucky for us, this recipe also includes not only a paleo bun recipe but also a whole30 ranch recipe. Also, you get four pieces of bacon per burger, that’s all the convincing I need.
Macros: 487 calories, 33 grams of fat, 10 grams of carbs, 6 grams of fiber, and 40 grams of protein.
Bacon Chipotle Stuffed Cheeseburgers
Okay, does this one need a description? Look at that photo and reread the name BACON…STUFFED…ugh we are already drolling. One thing that I would suggest is replacing some ingredients with lighter options to save on some calories.
Red Wine Burger
This deliciousness takes a little bit to make, but it is so worth it. I don’t know if it’s just me, but cooking anything with red wine makes me feel especially fancy. I think our friends over at neighboorfoodblog.com said it best, “These Red Wine Burgers with Caramelized Onions and Goat Cheese are everything you love about a classic burger, but with a major flavor boost” YUP! We agree.
Carrot Tahini Quinoa Veggie Burger with Tzatziki and Purple Slaw
Ok, guys, I think Meli has an anger management problem when it comes to quinoa recipes. I bow to get to the bottom of this. In the meantime, enjoy this veggie burger made out of quinoa and shredded carrots. We loved the crunchiness of the coleslaw and the delicious flavor of the Tzatziki sauce.
Chorizo and Shrimp Burger
What if I told you that this beautiful, beautiful burger isn’t only made with chorizo, not one, but two shrimps, paprika mayo, and manchego cheese ( which to be honest, I didn’t even know those were a thing), and that its buns are made out of glorious sweet potatoes? How would that make you feel? Excited? Yeah. Inspired? Absolutely. I forgot to tell you. There’s an ingredient in this recipe that’s even better than those I already mentioned. That ingredient is mother****ing TEQUILA!!! Now it’s a party!!
